Contemporary American; Seafood; Steak. Claiming themselves to be hard to find but worth it, this family restaurant is located just short of Maidstone Beach. We agree that it is worth visiting. Meats and game are popular here (barbecued prime rib is excellent when ordered rare, however rare cuts go quickly and are sometimes unavailable). Pasta dishes are fresh-tasting and well-prepared, served in sauces which are quite good. Very much the quant country inn, the decor here is interesting (a variety of tables, booths, nooks and crannies providing just as much or as little privacy as you want) and very tastefully maintained, right down to the fresh flowers which proliferate. Very unfortunately, weekend brunches have been discontinued. Many thought the brunch menu here was by far the most imaginative in the East Hampton area. Open all year. Entree price range: $8.95 to $28.95. Casual dress; full liquor license; sit-down bar in separate room.
